How to recognise it

Almost square, with the two top corners cut off at an angle.
About 8 mm across - noticeably deeper than a Type-A.
Usually white or light grey plastic inside.

What it fits

USB Type-B (SuperSpeed) Fits one way only 480 Mbps

A standard Type-B plug fits the lower chamber of a Type-B 3.0 socket and works fine, at USB 2.0 speed. The reverse never works: the 3.0 plug is taller and will not enter a standard Type-B socket, no matter how hard you push.
